Saving Money on Car Deals

A car is a major item in most peoples budget so when you go to buy one, you need to get the best possible deal. It's more important than ever in the current economic climate. Here are some tips that might help. You need to shop at the right time. If you are lucky enough to be buying new, do you need the latest model. If you do, August to November is when they are released. If not, just before then, the dealers could be off loading stock at a discount. Close to the end of the month is good. The salesmen will be trying to reach their monthly quotas. They need you to buy now and not next week. If the deal is not good enough, let them know you can wait. If possible, shop on a weekday when their are less buyers around. They will be more inclined to offer you a tempting deal if you are the only game in town. Most importantly, don't get carried away with emotion. Buying a car is exciting and following your heart and not your head is a bad idea. Don't spend more than you intended on a car that doesn't suit your needs. Finally, always remember that you are in charge. It's your money and your decision. If you are not sure of anything, be prepared to leave. There is always another day and another dealer.
